Our Jeep Safari begins at the famous school in Mamalakandam. Surrounded by green hills and beautiful mountain ranges, the school is situated in a scenic location.

One of its most attractive features is the waterfall visible among the mountains behind the school. During the monsoon season, when water flows abundantly down the hills, the waterfall adds considerably to the beauty of the surroundings.

From here, we begin our journey through the mountain roads of Mamalakandam, heading towards our first destination, Konipara.

An Exciting Off-Road Journey Through the Mountains

The Jeep Safari itself is one of the highlights of the experience. The route takes us along rugged mountain roads with steep climbs, descents, sharp bends, rocks, and potholes.

As our jeep moves along the uneven terrain, we get to enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Every turn reveals a different perspective of the landscape, making the journey enjoyable for anyone who appreciates mountain scenery and off-road adventures.

Some sections of the route are particularly challenging, adding excitement to the ride. The combination of adventurous driving and scenic mountain views makes the journey to Konipara an experience in itself.

Konipara: The Highest Motorable Point in Ernakulam District

Our first destination is Konipara, considered the highest motorable point in Ernakulam district. Located among the mountain ranges of Mamalakandam, this destination is known for its scenic views and thrilling Jeep Safari route.

One of the main attractions of Konipara is the panoramic view of three districts: Ernakulam, Idukki, and Thrissur. From this elevated location, visitors can enjoy the surrounding mountain ranges and valleys stretching into the distance.

The vast landscape offers a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the natural beauty of Kerala's highlands.

Sunset Views from Konipara

If you are lucky enough to visit at the right time and weather conditions permit, you may also get to enjoy a beautiful sunset from Konipara.

Watching the sun descend behind the mountain ranges can be a memorable experience. The changing colours of the sky and the silhouettes of the distant hills create a beautiful scene.

After spending some time enjoying the views at Konipara, we continue our Jeep Safari towards our next destination, Munippara.

Munippara: Discovering an Ancient Muniyara

Our next stop is Munippara, a place with an interesting historical feature known as a Muniyara.

Muniyaras are ancient stone structures associated with the megalithic period. These structures are found in different parts of Kerala and are generally associated with ancient burial practices. The Muniyara at Munippara is also used for prayers.

The structure is made using large stones arranged in a distinctive form. Its unusual construction makes it an interesting place to explore, particularly for visitors interested in ancient stone structures and local history.

The Damage to Munippara Muniyara in 1994

One of the notable features of this Muniyara is the damage it sustained in 1994.

During that incident, the large rock at the top broke, while one of the side rocks became slightly tilted. These changes can still be seen at the site today.

Seeing the structure up close gives us an opportunity to appreciate its distinctive construction and the way these ancient stone structures have remained part of the local landscape.

Munippara offers a different experience from Konipara. While Konipara is mainly about mountain views and the off-road adventure, Munippara allows us to discover a fascinating structure associated with the region's past.

A Short Stop at a Small Waterfall

After exploring Munippara and seeing the ancient Muniyara, we continue our journey along the mountain route.

Along the way, we stop beside a small waterfall and spend some time enjoying the cool surroundings. The sound of flowing water and the natural scenery provide a pleasant break during our Jeep Safari.

After spending some time there, we resume our journey and bring our Mamalakandam adventure to an end.

We travelled with our driver, Lukose, and two jeeps went together for the safari. Instead of booking the two destinations separately, we opted for the combined trip and paid ₹3,000.

Lukose is a friendly and talkative person. We had several interesting conversations with him about different travel experiences during our journey, which made the safari even more enjoyable.

Dhow Cruise Dubai Marina: Dinner, Dance Shows and Stunning Night Views

 

A dhow cruise in Dubai Marina is a wonderful way to experience Dubai's spectacular skyline after sunset. With illuminated skyscrapers, waterfront views, a buffet dinner, and live entertainment, the cruise offers a relaxing evening on the water. During our Dubai trip, we boarded the Celeste Dhow Cruise to enjoy the night views, dinner, and traditional dance performances.

Arriving at the Dhow Cruise Boarding Point

It was past 7 PM when we reached the cruise boarding point at Dubai Marina. Our boat, Celeste, was getting ready for the evening's journey. The traditional-style boat offered two seating options: an upper deck and a lower deck.

We had booked the upper deck, as we wanted to enjoy the views of Dubai Marina and its illuminated skyline during the cruise.

Welcome Drinks and Boarding

As we boarded the boat, we were welcomed with Arabic coffee and dates, a traditional gesture of Arabian hospitality. After enjoying the welcome refreshments, we made our way to the upper deck and settled into our seats at a side-facing dinner table.

The cruise was scheduled to start at 8 PM and return around 10 PM. As we waited for departure, the boat gradually filled with guests.

Juices were served onboard, and soft drinks such as Coke and Sprite were also available. Mocktails, including Mojito, were offered as well. Guests who wanted something different could order cocktails and hot beverages at an additional cost.

One thing to keep in mind is that access between the upper and lower decks was restricted, so guests needed to remain on the deck they had booked.

Cruising Through Dubai Marina at Night

At around 8 PM, the Celeste Dhow Cruise began its journey through Dubai Marina. As the boat moved through the water, the spectacular nightscape of Dubai unfolded around us.

Dubai Marina is known for its impressive collection of modern skyscrapers, luxury residences, waterfront restaurants, and beautifully illuminated buildings. Seeing the skyline from the water offers a different perspective from exploring the area on foot.

During the cruise, we enjoyed views of famous landmarks and buildings, including Ain Dubai, Atlantis The Palm, FIVE Palm Jumeirah, and Address Beach Resort.

The combination of the illuminated buildings, reflections on the water, and the lively atmosphere of Dubai Marina made the journey particularly enjoyable. The cruise provided plenty of opportunities to admire the cityscape while relaxing onboard.

Buffet Dinner on the Cruise

At around 8:30 PM, the buffet dinner service began. Guests could enjoy their meal while the boat continued cruising through the marina.

A buffet dinner is one of the main attractions of the dhow cruise experience. Along with the food, the available refreshments added to the overall dining experience.

Complimentary juices and soft drinks were available, while guests could purchase cocktails and hot beverages separately.

Dining onboard while enjoying the illuminated skyline made the evening more memorable than having dinner at a regular restaurant.

Live Entertainment: Tanoura Dance, Belly Dance and Darbuka Show

At around 9 PM, after dinner, the live entertainment began. The performances added a festive atmosphere to the cruise and gave us an opportunity to enjoy traditional and rhythmic performances during the journey.

Tanoura Dance

The entertainment started with the Tanoura dance, a traditional performance associated with spinning movements and colorful costumes.

The dancer continuously spun while performing coordinated movements, creating an eye-catching spectacle. The colorful costume and rhythmic presentation made this an engaging way to begin the entertainment programme.

Belly Dance Performance

Next came the belly dance performance. With graceful movements and expressive gestures, the dancer brought energy to the show.

The performance added variety to the evening's entertainment, keeping the audience engaged after dinner.

Darbuka Show

The final performance was the darbuka show, featuring the rhythmic beats of the darbuka, a traditional goblet-shaped drum used in Middle Eastern music.

The fast-paced rhythms created a lively atmosphere and provided an energetic finish to the entertainment programme.

Together, the three performances made the cruise more than just a sightseeing and dining experience.

Returning to the Starting Point

By around 10:15 PM, we had returned to the cruise's starting point. After spending the evening enjoying the night views, buffet dinner, and live performances, it was time to head back to our hotel and get some rest.

The dhow cruise was a relaxing way to spend an evening in Dubai, combining sightseeing, food, and entertainment in a single experience.

Flora and Fauna Munnar Eco Park is located at Adimaly, on the way to Munnar in Kerala. The park offers visitors an opportunity to explore different varieties of birds, animals, reptiles, fish, and plants. During our visit, we got to interact with some of the birds, feed colorful Koi fish, and explore the different sections of the park.

Koi Fish Pond

Our visit began at the Koi fish pond, the first section we came across after entering the park. The pond was filled with colorful Koi fish swimming around in the water.

One of the interesting experiences here was feeding the fish. As we offered them food, they gathered around our hands and came close to the edge of the pond. Watching them swim around and reach for the food was a lovely way to begin our exploration.

Meeting the Birds Up Close

From the Koi fish pond, we continued to the bird section, which was one of the highlights of our visit. The aviary is home to different varieties of birds, and visitors can get surprisingly close to some of them.

Some birds came and perched on our hands, shoulders, and even our heads. We could also feed them directly from our hands, making the experience more interactive than simply observing birds from a distance.

As we explored this section, we came across different varieties of birds, including pheasants and guinea fowl. We also spotted some lizard-like animals in the same area.

The opportunity to see these birds so closely made this part of the visit particularly memorable.

A Small Waterfall Inside the Park

After exploring the aviary, we came out and discovered a small waterfall within the park. It was another feature to enjoy as we moved between the different sections.

Ostriches, Emus, Ducks and Swans

Our next stop was the section featuring larger birds. Here, we saw ostriches and emus, along with smaller birds such as ducks and swans.

It was interesting to see such a variety of birds in different sections of the park, from the smaller birds in the aviary to the much larger ostriches and emus.

Exploring the Fruit Plant Section

We then moved on to the plant section, where we found different varieties of fruit plants.

Unlike the bird and fish sections, this part of the visit offered an opportunity to learn about plants. A guide accompanied us through the area and explained the different varieties, sharing information about the plants and their characteristics.

This added an informative element to our visit, allowing us to explore not only the animal life but also the plant varieties found within the park.

Exploring the Beautiful Waterfalls of Munnar, Kerala

 

Munnar, nestled in the Western Ghats of Kerala, is famous for its rolling tea plantations, mist-covered mountains, lush green valleys, and beautiful waterfalls. While many visitors come to enjoy its scenic viewpoints and tea gardens, the region is also home to several waterfalls that look especially spectacular during the monsoon season.

In this travel journey, we explore Attukad Waterfalls, Nayamakad Waterfalls, Elixir Falls, Yellapetty Waterfall, Ripple Waterfalls, and a waterfall near the Hanging Bridge at Ponmudi Dam. Each destination offers a different experience, from easily accessible roadside views to waterfalls hidden among the woods.

1. Attukad Waterfalls

Attukad Waterfalls is one of the well-known waterfalls near Munnar, situated between Munnar and Pallivasal. It is approximately 9 km from Munnar town. To reach the waterfall, visitors need to travel around 2.5 km from the main road along a narrow road that winds through tea estates.

The journey itself is scenic, with tea plantations and green hills surrounding the route. A tea shop near the waterfall provides a place to stop and enjoy the view. There is also an upper viewpoint above the tea shop, for which an entry fee of ₹20 was noted during our visit. Depending on the view available from the tea shop and the bridge, visitors may find it unnecessary to pay extra for the upper viewpoint.

A small bridge offers another perspective of the waterfall and the surrounding landscape. During the monsoon, Attukad can transform into a powerful, roaring cascade, with water rushing down the rocky hillside.

We also included footage from our visit in April, when the water flow was considerably lower. Comparing the two visits shows how dramatically the appearance of the waterfall can change with the season.

2. Nayamakad Waterfalls

Nayamakad Waterfalls, also known as Nyayamakad Waterfalls, is another scenic waterfall in the Munnar region. It is located on the Munnar–Udumalpet road, near the Rajamala area and the entrance to Eravikulam National Park.

The waterfall descends over a rocky slope surrounded by tea plantations and forested hills. Its setting makes it a beautiful stop for travellers exploring this part of Munnar.

During our visit, we viewed the waterfall from the main road. Visitors interested in getting closer can explore the trekking route, subject to local access conditions and safety guidance.

The waterfall is particularly attractive during the rainy season, when increased water flow brings out the beauty of the rocky landscape and surrounding greenery.

3. Elixir Falls

Elixir Falls is located inside Elixir Hills Resort in the Munnar region. Surrounded by lush greenery, rocks, and the natural landscape of the Western Ghats, this waterfall adds to the resort's scenic setting.

Unlike waterfalls viewed from busy main roads, Elixir Falls is situated within the resort grounds. It offers a different experience for visitors who want to enjoy the natural surroundings in a quieter setting.

Access to the waterfall may depend on the resort's visitor policies, so it is advisable to check with the property before planning a visit.

4. Yellapetty Waterfall

Yellapetty Grassland is located near Kundala Dam, along the route towards Top Station from Munnar. This area is known for its open landscapes, surrounding hills, and scenic views.

During our visit, we explored a small waterfall hidden among the woods. Unlike a roadside waterfall, reaching this spot involves walking through the wooded area.

Although smaller than some of Munnar's famous waterfalls, it has its own charm. The natural surroundings and greenery make the walk an enjoyable part of the experience.

The water flow varies depending on rainfall and the season, so the waterfall may look quite different during the monsoon compared with the drier months.

5. Ripple Waterfalls

Ripple Waterfalls, located at Sree Narayanapuram in the Munnar region, is a popular nature attraction surrounded by greenery and rocky landscapes.

The cascading water creates a scenic setting for visitors who want to spend some time enjoying nature. The rocks, flowing water, and surrounding vegetation provide plenty of opportunities for photography and video recording.

Compared with a quick stop at a roadside waterfall, Ripple offers an opportunity to spend more time exploring the surroundings. The experience can vary with the season and the amount of rainfall, which influences the water flow.

6. Waterfall Near the Hanging Bridge at Ponmudi Dam

Our final stop is the Hanging Bridge near Ponmudi Dam, where a waterfall can be seen beneath the bridge.

The bridge and surrounding landscape provide a different setting from the tea-estate waterfalls around Munnar. During our visit in summer, the water flow was relatively low. After rainfall, the scenery and water flow may look different.

This stop makes a pleasant addition to a waterfall trip around the region, especially for travellers exploring the surrounding areas of Idukki.

Best Time to Visit Munnar Waterfalls

The monsoon season and the period immediately after good rainfall are generally the best times to see many of these waterfalls flowing strongly. The hills become greener, and the increased water flow can make the cascades more impressive.

However, heavy rainfall can also make narrow roads, rocky paths, and trekking routes slippery or unsafe. Visitors should follow local safety instructions and avoid entering strong currents or approaching unstable edges.

During summer, some waterfalls may have significantly less water, as we observed at Attukad and the waterfall near Ponmudi Dam. Even then, the surrounding tea estates, forests, and mountain scenery make the journey worthwhile.

Final Thoughts

Exploring the waterfalls around Munnar reveals another side of this beautiful hill station. From the powerful seasonal cascades of Attukad and Nayamakad to the woodland setting of Yellapetty and the greenery surrounding Ripple Waterfalls, each stop offers something different.

Our journey also included Elixir Falls inside Elixir Hills Resort and the waterfall beneath the Hanging Bridge near Ponmudi Dam.

Neelakurinji Bloom at Korandakkad Hills, Munnar

 

Munnar is famous for its tea plantations, mist-covered mountains, and beautiful landscapes, but during the Neelakurinji flowering season, the hills take on an entirely different appearance. During our visit, we headed to Korandakkad Hills, located on the Munnar–Mattupetty route, after Carmelgiri Botanical Garden and before Mattupetty Dam, to experience the spectacular Neelakurinji bloom.

The entry fee to Korandakkad Hills was ₹250 per person. From the entrance, reaching the flowering area requires a walk of around 1.5 to 2 kilometres through a tea estate. The walk itself is a beautiful part of the experience, with green tea plantations, mountain views, and the peaceful surroundings of Munnar.

After crossing the tea estate, the trail continues into the forest. There are unpaved jeep roads through which visitors walk towards the blooming area. Depending on the weather, small streams can also be seen along the route, while the surrounding forest provides opportunities to spot birds and small animals.

Neelakurinji – A Rare Natural Spectacle

Neelakurinji, scientifically known as Strobilanthes kunthiana, is one of the most remarkable flowers found in the high-altitude grasslands of the Western Ghats. One of its most fascinating characteristics is its mass flowering cycle. Large populations flower together at intervals of roughly 12 years, creating spectacular blue and violet-coloured landscapes.

The Korandakkad–Mattupetty population has recorded flowering in 1990, 2002 and 2014, making the current flowering season a particularly special time to visit. If the population continues to follow its usual cycle, the next major flowering could be around 2038.

Chokramudi Hills

Chokramudi Hills is another important location associated with the 2026 Neelakurinji flowering season. Located in the Munnar region, Chokramudi has also attracted visitors hoping to experience the rare bloom. The entry fee there is ₹250.

The Neelakurinji flowering at Korandakkad and Chokramudi is different from the famous flowering population at Eravikulam National Park. The Eravikulam population flowered extensively in 2018 and is expected to have its next major flowering around 2030.

Reaching the Neelakurinji Hills

After walking through the tea estate and forest, we finally reached the area covered with Neelakurinji flowers. The landscape changes dramatically as the green hills become dotted with beautiful blue and violet flowers.

Walking around the designated area allows visitors to see the flowers from different viewpoints. Some sections have larger clusters covering the slopes, while others have smaller patches scattered across the landscape.

When mist moves across the surrounding mountains, the combination of Neelakurinji flowers, tea plantations, forests and Munnar's mountain scenery creates a spectacular view.

The journey to Korandakkad is as much a part of the experience as the flowers themselves. The walk through the tea estate and forest offers an opportunity to slow down and enjoy the natural beauty of the region before reaching the blooming hills.

Since Neelakurinji is part of a fragile mountain ecosystem, visitors should remain on designated paths and avoid plucking or damaging the flowers.

If you are visiting Munnar during the flowering season, Korandakkad Hills offers a memorable way to experience the Neelakurinji bloom — combining a scenic tea-estate and forest walk with the sight of Munnar's hills covered in blue and violet flowers.

As night falls over Downtown Dubai, the iconic Burj Khalifa transforms into one of the world's largest LED displays. The Burj Khalifa Light Show is a spectacular combination of technology, architecture, and creativity, attracting visitors from around the globe.

Standing at 828 metres (2,717 feet), Burj Khalifa serves as a giant canvas where thousands of LED lights create colourful animations, artistic patterns, and themed visual displays.

The light show takes place on the exterior of the tower and is often accompanied by the nearby Dubai Fountain performances, creating a truly unforgettable experience.

Watching the illuminated skyscraper against the backdrop of Dubai's skyline is one of the city's most memorable attractions. The atmosphere becomes even more magical as crowds gather around Burj Lake, eagerly waiting for the next display.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi – A Magnificent Evening Visit

 

Our Abu Dhabi journey continued with a visit to one of the city’s most iconic landmarks — Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. This visit was part of our one-day Abu Dhabi tour, with the entrance tickets arranged by our tour driver.

Before heading to the mosque, we spent some time exploring Souq Al Jami. From there, we walked towards the mosque. Along the walkway, we could see photographs and information panels introducing visitors to the mosque, its architecture, and some of its remarkable features.

As we approached, the magnificent white marble structure gradually came into view. By the time we reached the mosque, the evening light had transformed the entire surroundings. The combination of the white marble, enormous domes, beautiful courtyard, and reflective pools created a spectacular view.

The mosque features 82 white marble domes and more than 1,000 columns. The columns are beautifully decorated with intricate floral patterns and inlaid with stones including amethyst and jasper. The immense courtyard, with its detailed marble designs, adds another layer of beauty to the architecture.

One of the highlights of the visit was the Eastern Foyer, where we could appreciate the mosque’s intricate architectural details up close. The surrounding pools also create stunning reflections of the white marble structure, particularly during sunset and as the mosque begins to illuminate in the evening.

Inside the mosque, visitors can see one of the world’s largest hand-knotted carpets, along with enormous Swarovski crystal chandeliers. These remarkable features showcase the extraordinary craftsmanship found throughout the complex.

What makes the experience especially memorable is seeing the mosque during the evening. The changing light, illuminated architecture, reflective pools, domes, columns, and intricate details come together to create an unforgettable atmosphere.

Qasr Al Watan Abu Dhabi – Exploring the Palace of the Nation

 

During our one-day Abu Dhabi sightseeing trip from Dubai, we visited Qasr Al Watan, one of the most impressive landmarks in the UAE. Also known as the Palace of the Nation, Qasr Al Watan offers visitors an opportunity to experience the country’s architecture, culture, heritage, knowledge, and traditions.

Our visit began at the Visitors Centre, where our driver-cum-guide provided us with the tickets. Since we visited on a Saturday, the area was quite crowded. After completing the security checks, we waited for the shuttle bus that takes visitors from the Visitors Centre to the palace.

The bus ride itself gives us a wonderful introduction to Qasr Al Watan. As we approach the palace, the magnificent white architecture gradually comes into view, with its enormous arches, domes, intricate geometric patterns, and traditional Arabian design.

The Grand Courtyard

One of the first areas we explored was the magnificent courtyard. The vast open space is beautifully finished with marble and features impressive water fountains and architectural details.

The courtyard also provides excellent views of the palace facade. The combination of the white marble, water features, enormous structure, and clear open spaces creates an impressive setting and makes this area a great place for photography.

The Great Hall

Inside the palace, one of the major highlights is the Great Hall. The enormous space features massive arches, intricate geometric designs, beautiful chandeliers, and a spectacular central dome.

The scale of the hall is difficult to appreciate until you are standing inside it. The detailed decorations and traditional architectural elements demonstrate the extraordinary level of craftsmanship throughout the palace.

Exploring the Palace

There are several interesting sections to explore inside Qasr Al Watan.

The Prayer Room reflects the importance of Islamic traditions and spirituality, while the Presidential Gifts exhibition showcases gifts exchanged between the UAE and other countries, offering an interesting glimpse into the country's diplomatic relationships.

We also visited The Presidential Banquet, an impressive area showcasing the grandeur associated with official state occasions and diplomatic gatherings.

Another section, The Spirit of Collaboration, highlights the importance of cooperation and partnership within the UAE's governing institutions.

Qasr Al Watan Library

The Qasr Al Watan Library is another fascinating part of the palace. It is dedicated to knowledge and learning and reflects the intellectual and cultural heritage of the UAE and the wider Arab world.

The library provides an opportunity to discover the importance of books, knowledge, and scholarship in the region.

House of Knowledge

At the House of Knowledge, visitors can discover works and objects connected with Arab and Islamic civilization.

The exhibits highlight contributions to areas such as science, literature, medicine, astronomy, and the arts, providing another perspective on the region's rich intellectual heritage.

Beyond the exhibitions and individual rooms, the architecture itself is one of the biggest attractions at Qasr Al Watan.

Outside, visitors can also enjoy views of Abu Dhabi's skyline and waterfront, creating a beautiful contrast between the traditional-inspired palace and the modern city surrounding it.

For visitors coming in the evening, Palace in Motion offers another memorable experience. The palace facade becomes a giant screen for a spectacular light and sound presentation, using projections and music to tell the story of the UAE.

Our journey begins at the Dates Market, where we get a glimpse into the rich date culture of the UAE. Dates have long been an important part of Arabian hospitality and cuisine.

Inside the market, visitors can find a wide variety of dates, along with dried fruits, nuts, chocolates, and other local products. From everyday varieties to premium dates, the market offers plenty of choices for both locals and visitors.

The market is also a great place to buy traditional food products and souvenirs to take home.

A Scenic Drive Along Abu Dhabi Corniche

After exploring the Dates Market, we continue our journey by road and head towards the famous Abu Dhabi Corniche.

The Corniche is one of the most beautiful areas of Abu Dhabi, offering views of the Arabian Gulf on one side and the city's impressive skyline on the other.

During the drive, we pass several iconic landmarks and luxury properties, including Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi, Nation Towers, and the spectacular Etihad Towers.

The Etihad Towers stand prominently along the waterfront and have become one of the defining features of Abu Dhabi's modern skyline.

Emirates Palace and Qasr Al Watan

Continuing along the Corniche, we pass the magnificent Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental. Its grand Arabian-inspired architecture, domes, gardens, and waterfront setting make it one of Abu Dhabi's most recognisable landmarks.

Nearby, we can also see the impressive ADNOC Headquarters and Qasr Al Watan, the Palace of the Nation. Qasr Al Watan is a remarkable architectural landmark showcasing the UAE's heritage, culture, and knowledge.

Our drive continues past Bab Al Qasr Hotel and the Khalidiya Twin Towers, giving us more opportunities to admire Abu Dhabi's striking combination of modern buildings and traditional architectural influences.

Abu Dhabi's Impressive Architecture

One of the highlights of the drive is Capital Gate, famously known as the Leaning Tower of Abu Dhabi. Its unusual design makes it one of the city's most distinctive buildings.

We then continue towards the magnificent Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. With its white marble architecture, elegant domes, beautiful courtyards, and intricate details, the mosque is undoubtedly one of Abu Dhabi's most spectacular landmarks.

Further along our route, we also pass the distinctive Aldar Headquarters, a remarkable circular building that has become another recognisable feature of Abu Dhabi's architectural landscape.

Our journey eventually takes us towards Al Bahyah, where we see Al Bahyah Mosque.

This road journey offers a wonderful introduction to Abu Dhabi. From the traditional atmosphere of the Dates Market to the modern skyline, waterfront Corniche, luxurious hotels, grand palaces, futuristic buildings, and magnificent mosques, every part of the journey reveals a different side of the capital.

Exploring Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Yas Mall

 

During our visit to Abu Dhabi, we headed to Yas Island to explore Yas Mall and get a closer look at the iconic Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.

Yas Mall is one of the major shopping and entertainment destinations on Yas Island and is directly connected to Ferrari World. The combination makes this area a great place to spend some time exploring, shopping, dining, and enjoying the attractions.

As we walked through Yas Mall, we could see the distinctive red roof of Ferrari World. Inspired by the famous Ferrari logo, the massive structure is one of the most recognizable landmarks on Yas Island.

Although we did not enter the ticketed theme park area, we were able to explore the surrounding areas, walk around, take photos and videos, and enjoy the Ferrari-themed atmosphere.

We could also see some impressive Ferrari cars and displays, which added to the experience. For automobile enthusiasts and Ferrari fans, seeing these cars up close is certainly a highlight.

There are also souvenir shops and other stores in the area where visitors can browse and purchase Ferrari-themed merchandise and other items. Yas Mall itself offers a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options, making it worth exploring even if you are not planning to visit the theme park.

Ferrari World is famous for its thrilling rides and attractions, particularly Formula Rossa, one of the world's fastest roller coasters. Visitors who want to experience the rides and attractions need to purchase a ticket to enter the theme park. Tickets can be purchased at the front desk before entering the park.

For our visit, we simply enjoyed the surroundings, explored the mall, checked out the Ferrari displays and shops, and captured some memorable photographs.

Even without entering the theme park, the combination of Yas Mall and Ferrari World provides plenty to see and experience. The impressive architecture and Ferrari-themed surroundings make this a great stop while exploring Yas Island.

Our visit was a short but enjoyable experience, and it gave us an opportunity to see one of Abu Dhabi's most recognizable attractions while exploring Yas Mall.

A Small Indian Fireworks Celebration at Home 🎆

Fireworks have always been a special part of Indian celebrations, bringing together lights, colors, excitement, and wonderful memories. In this video, we enjoyed a small fireworks celebration at home with a few classic Indian fireworks.

Our celebration featured some of the most familiar and colorful types of fireworks. We started with the Phuljhari, or Indian sparklers, which create beautiful showers of sparkling light when held safely. They are simple, traditional, and loved by both children and adults.

Next were the Anars, also known as static color fountains. Once lit, they stay on the ground and produce beautiful fountains of colorful sparks. Watching the different colors and patterns emerge makes them one of the most enjoyable ground fireworks.

We also enjoyed Chakkars, the spinning ground wheels. These fireworks spin rapidly on the ground while producing sparks and bright flashes of light, making them a fun addition to the celebration.

To finish things off, we had Rockets, which launch into the sky and create a brief aerial display. Their sudden rise and burst of light add a little extra excitement to the evening.

It wasn't a large fireworks show or a grand celebration—just a small gathering at home with some traditional Indian fireworks. But sometimes, simple celebrations like these create the best memories.

From the sparkling Phuljhari to the colorful Anars, spinning Chakkars, and flying Rockets, this was a fun evening filled with lights and excitement.

Dubai is famous for its towering skyscrapers, luxury shopping destinations, beautiful beaches, and world-class attractions. One such destination is The World of Riverland, located at Dubai Parks and Resorts.

During our visit, we explored its beautifully themed streets, entertainment areas, restaurants, live performances, and some of the exciting attractions located nearby.

A Gateway to Dubai Parks and Resorts

Riverland serves as the central hub connecting visitors to several major attractions at Dubai Parks and Resorts. The area itself is designed as a destination where visitors can walk around, enjoy the themed surroundings, dine at different restaurants, and experience live entertainment.

The surroundings are beautifully designed, and as you walk through Riverland, each section offers a completely different atmosphere.

The area is divided into themed districts, including French Village, The Peninsula, Boardwalk, and India Gate. These districts are connected by walkways and bridges, creating a pleasant environment for an evening stroll.

Visitors can purchase an entry ticket to access Riverland, and the ticket value can be used towards food and beverages at selected outlets.

Mini World and T-Rex Glamping

One of the interesting attractions here is Mini World, where visitors can see miniature replicas of famous landmarks from around the world. The detailed models make this an enjoyable place to explore and take photographs.

For families with children, LEGOLAND Dubai offers interactive rides and LEGO-themed attractions. Nearby, LEGOLAND Water Park provides water slides and family-friendly water activities.

There is also Neon Galaxy, a large indoor adventure playground where children can enjoy climbing structures, slides, tunnels, obstacle courses, and interactive play areas.

It becomes particularly beautiful in the evening when the lights illuminate the streets.

Food, Restaurants and Entertainment

The World of Riverland offers a variety of restaurants, cafés, and food outlets.

One of the interesting themed restaurants is Pirates Tavern, where the pirate-inspired décor creates a unique dining atmosphere. During our visit, we could also enjoy performances that added to the experience.

As evening arrives, Riverland becomes even more lively. Different sections host musical and dance performances, creating an enjoyable atmosphere for visitors walking through the area.

The Evening Laser and Waterfall Show

One of the highlights of visiting Riverland in the evening is the laser and waterfall show.

Colourful projections and animal animations appear across the cascading water, creating a beautiful visual experience. Watching the lights and animations against the themed surroundings is a great way to end the visit.

We also came across the impressive camel statue, a Guinness World Record holder and one of the unique photo spots in the area.
