An Enthralling Trek to Ilaveezhapoonchira: Discovering Kerala's Natural Wonders and Muniyara Caves
Embark on a journey with me to one of Kerala's most awe-inspiring destinations, Ilaveezhapoonchira, a place where nature's beauty is in its purest form. Nestled in the heart of the Western Ghats, this hidden gem offers an escape into the wilderness that is both invigorating and serene. Our adventure to Ilaveezhapoonchira started by afternoon via Melukavu village in Kottayam district. The drive itself was an experience, with each turn presenting a new vista of Kerala's famed landscapes.

One of the highlights of this journey was stopping at the Muniyara Caves. These ancient caves, used by tribal people as tombs or meditation spots, hold stories of a bygone era. Walking through the water inside the cave, feeling the chill of history on my skin, was a moment of awe. No trip to Varkala would be complete without a visit to its iconic beach, known for its golden sands and stunning cliffs. As we stroll along the shore, we're mesmerized by the beauty of the coastline, feeling the warmth of the sun on our skin and the gentle breeze in our hair.
As the day draws to a close, we find ourselves at the Sun View Beach Resort, a tranquil oasis nestled amidst the natural beauty of the coastline. Here, we relax and unwind, soaking in the peaceful ambiance and savoring the flavors of local cuisine at The Darjeeling Cafe.
Our journey also takes us to the Vaipur Hanging Bridge, where we experience the thrill of crossing high above the Manimala River.
